Continued....

After Manny came back home in August of 1974 with his long hippie hair style he was thinking of joining some other band in the valley of Texas while his one time party friend Ysidro invited him to a prayer meeting on Friday nights. And every Friday night Manny would feel some thing touch the top of his head as he closed is eyes to pray!  He says "I was spiritually starving cause I had tried every thing, sex, drugs, alcohol, you name it!"  So in about the 4th or 5th time Manny went to this prayer meeting at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church as the head leader of the prayer meeting Mr Guagardo read from our local news paper how so many people over Texas were being filled with the Holy Spirit and after that Mr Guajardo said "lets be silent and wait for the Presence of God!"  The room with about 70 youngsters and about 12 adults got so quiet you could hear a pin drop!   As all this was happening  as Manny had his eyes closed he saw from his right visual about 7 feet about as the size of a four foot florescent light , he saw what his says was the brightest cloud bursting with the brightest light and energy he had ever seen in his life and the cloud got smaller but just as bright and he could see this with his eyes closed and after that.......it hit him!!!!  For the first time of his life he felt God all over his body and he just did not know how to express this new feeling of beauty, love, forgiveness, joy, and just so awesomely wonderful and beautiful.....and there were tears of joy and then Gods Spirit fell all over almost every one in that room and people were raising their hands and singing and thanking God for sending His Spirit to every one in that room!!

After this Manny's life was totally transformed! His family were shocked,even his praying mom, his friends and the whole town!  Manny's desires were totally changed and the thing that change Manny was with this experience came to him as so real of how much God loved him and that totally blew him away! He was so truly happy for the first time in his life and he just wanted everyone to know of how he felt inside. He forgot about his guitar and started reading the Bible from cover to cover, he stared making from one to about 7 prayer meetings per week till he went to go do missionary work with the ministry of Agape Force from 1976 till 1981. 

In 1994 at the age of 38 Manny took an introduction to water colors art class at his local Midland College and immediately this passion consumed him to paint till 2 and 3am for weeks, and after he had his first three paintings he submitted them for their local Midland Art Association Spring Show Competition and to his amazement his first painting for the Spring Show was picked by Cowboy Hall of Fame artist Tom Rayon. After that for the following 5 to 6 years most of Manny's paintings just about always were selected for local shows several with awards shown at The Museum of the South West and at the Allision Fine Arts  both in Midland Texas.

In 2002 Manny started doing sculpture as well and he will develop that area slowly but surely. He has sculptured Tejano artist Michael Salgado. After showing the sculpture to Mr Salgado and the band members they were all amazed that the sulpture liked just like Michaels's grand dad, how amazing...opps!!!!
People are amazed at Manny's diversification of subject matters on his art ,his taste is endless and very unpredictable of what he will paint or sculpture next!  He has done from Religious art which are the dearest to him, glamor,  abstracts , and the lists goes on. Manny simply enjoys painting what ever haunts him the most and only he knows what is haunting him now!!
Manny is coming out with limited editions to all his original art and is focusing on "giant size art" for "giant size houses "and we hope you be come a collector of his art.
He gives all the glory and honor to the Lord for the gifts and talents God has bestowed on him and is continually grateful.
